VENEZUELA TIENE 7 AÑOS DE CRECIMIENTO CONSECUTIVO EN EL SECTOR TELECOMUNICACIONES

sde el año 1998, Venezuela ha experimentado un auge tecnológico, que ha beneficiado, directamente, a la población del país. Durante los últimos 28 trimestres; es decir, 7 años, este beneficio se ha ido incrementando consecutivamente.

En Venezuela, se ha socializado el acceso a las nuevas tecnologías y servicios indispensables como: la telefonía fija, el acceso a Internet, el acceso a la tecnología móvil y la televisión por suscriptores.

En cuanto a telefonía fija, hasta el último trimestre de 2010, se triplicó la colocación de líneas telefónicas, hasta llegar a 7 millones 54 mil 603 líneas telefónicas, incrementando, en 62%, la penetración en las zonas históricamente excluidas, y en 24,56%, en la población en general. Este incremento se alcanzó, gracias a la nacionalización, en 2007, de la Compañía Anónima Teléfonos de Venezuela (CANTV), que había sido privatizada durante el Puntofijismo, y que durante 10 años colocó, apenas, 2 millones 517 mil líneas telefónicas.

El acceso a Internet, por su parte, tuvo un crecimiento del 3%, durante los Gobiernos del Puntofijismo; mientras que, durante los últimos 12 años ha experimentado un crecimiento en 3089,85%, beneficiando a 9 millones 956 mil 842 usuarios y usuarias.

El acceso a la telefonía móvil, ha experimentado un incremento, sustancioso, 1.450,53%, hasta llegar, en el año 2010, a 29 millones 152 mil 67 líneas móviles; podríamos decir que, actualmente, hay un teléfono móvil por cada habitante.

Hasta el año 1998, había 603 mil 200 clientes de televisión por suscripción. Para el año 2010, este sector se incrementó en 411,78%, hasta llegar a 2 millones 483 mil 847 suscriptores.
