SALUD: Cincuenta (50) pacientes mensuales atenderá la unidad de Diálisis del Hospital Victorino Santaella. En la primera fase funcionarán ocho máquinas. Para el tratamiento de hemodiálisis disponen de dos salas.

La ministra del Poder Popular para la Salud, María Eugenia Sader, este martes en horas del mediodía recorrió las instalaciones del Hospital Victorino Santaella, ubicado en Los Teques, estado Miranda, centro que cuenta a partir de hoy con una unidad de Diálisis.

El Hospital Victorino Santaella cuenta con dos salas de consulta externa y un área de toma de muestras sanguíneas, en la primera fase funcionarán ocho máquinas con capacidad de atención de 50 pacientes mensuales. Para la hemodiálisis disponen de una sala para positivo y negativo.

La Ministra detalló que la unidad está habilitada para atender a pacientes con afecciones renales y tenían que viajar a Caracas para recibir tratamiento, a partir de la próxima semana serán atendidos en Los Teques, gracias a la alianza entre el Instituto Venezolano de Seguros Sociales y el Sistema Público Nacional de Salud.

"A partir del lunes o martes 50 personas podrán ser programadas para recibir su tratamiento, los pacientes deben asistir tres veces a la semana durante cuatro horas y trabajarán en tres turnos. Luego de identificar 32 pacientes (…) ahora estarán cerca de sus hogares recibiendo la atención", recalcó Sader.

Destacó que desde "el año 2001 con el aporte del Gobierno nacional se garantizó la apertura de este servicio de alto costo con un financiamiento para el 100 por ciento de la población, a través del programa de Enfermedades de Alto Costo, Alto Riego y Salud Renal", afirmó Sader.

En los próximos meses esta unidad podrá albergar en su máxima atención a 162 paciente en el área de hemodiálisis y un importante número de personas en diálisis peritoneal.
