INDEPENDENCIA TECNOLÓGICA:
Para mayo de 2011, el Gobierno Bolivariano, a través del Proyecto “Canaima” Educativo, que lleva adelante el Ministerio para la Ciencia, Tecnología e Industrias Intermedias, ha entregado 759 mil computadoras “Canaima” a los niños y niñas del primer y segundo grado de educación básica.
Las “Canaimitas”, como se ha popularizado el término, son para fortalecer los procesos educativos, en el área científico – tecnológico, en la educación inicial.
De las 323 mil 500 portátiles planificadas para los estudiantes del primer grado, han sido entregadas 298 mil 506, beneficiando a 369 mil 849 niños y niñas, y abarcando 11 mil 432 planteles educativos.
De las 525 mil portátiles planificadas en el “Plan Canaima va a la casa”, para los alumnos y alumnas del segundo grado de educación básica, hasta enero de 2011, han sido entregadas 122 mil 292 portátiles.
Para el próximo período escolar 2011 – 2012, serán entregadas un millón 800 mil “Canaimitas”, que beneficiará a los estudiantes de tercero, cuarto, quinto y sexto grado de educación básica, para completar así un total de 2 millones 638 mil 506 de equipos entregados.
