LOS "REGIMENES DEMOCRATICOS SI PUEDEN CAER"

¿Están condenados los habitantes que viven en Europa a ver las revueltas sociales sólo por televisión? ¿Cuándo podrán ser de nuevo protagonistas?

Los regímenes democráticos no caen. Así de orondo y contundente se manifestaba un banquero. Y argumentaba: puede que determinadas situaciones provoquen cierto descontento en algunas periferias, como en París y en Marsella hace un tiempo, o se den casos de jóvenes radicalizados como en el caso de Grecia, pero de cualquier forma no dejan de ser minoritarios y a medio plazo controlables. Pocas veces consiguen siquiera el cambio de un gobierno, y de hacerlo, el que lo sustituye no va a cuestionar en absoluto la economía de mercado.

Más allá de la repulsión que nos merece su comentario, lo cierto es que entre los sectores anticapitalistas surge desde hace unos meses una pregunta con cierto aire de desesperanza, cómo es posible que no haya grandes algaradas, grandes protestas que pongan en jaque al capitalismo y sus raíces putrefactas, con la situación que atravesamos de desempleo masivo, precariedad laboral, explotación continua, comedores sociales desbordados, jóvenes sin futuro, una clase política desprestigiada, pérdida acelerada de derechos sociales, sindicatos comprados y poco representativos... .

Quizás ese mismo banquero respondería que nada de eso tiene gravedad suficiente como para impedir a los gobiernos perder el control de la situación, y que lo que él llama “régimen democrático” goza de buena salud, tanto, que la crisis capitalista, que es provocada por políticas y valores de derecha, tendrá en la propia derecha (da igual en cuál de sus dos versiones: socialdemócrata o conservadora) su recambio. Un juego bipartidista cuasi perfecto y construido para no cuestionar el sistema.

Ante la situación presente sólo cabe esperar la chispa que provoque el incendio. Pero “esperar” no parece una palabra adecuada, es dar la responsabilidad del “ahora o nunca” a un tercero y quedarse viendo en la televisión como arden otros (en este momento países árabes, en otros, Centroamérica…). Es obvio que la desilusión que vive buena parte de la sociedad no es capaz de convertirse en ira organizada, que la rebeldía es también canalizada por el sistema para que no se le cuestione, que la izquierda más conocida y menos consecuente vive atada a la calculadora para ver si con cien votos más consigue una parcelita de poder mayor, palabras como revolución o boicot no entran ya en su diccionario, no van a convocar jamás a otra cosa que no sea votarles, forman parte del “sistema democrático”; pero nada de eso debe detener el trabajo de los sectores más conscientes de la sociedad.

Es cierto que la tarea de salir a la calle contra el regimen se convierte en algo extremadamente complejo, en el ideario popular se cree que esto es una democracia, el menos malo de los sistemas posibles, y las urnas juegan el papel de antídoto a las protestas. Sin embargo, una pintada nos recordaba que las urnas son de plástico y que cualquier chispa….

El banquero no puede tener razón, el “regimen democrático” sí caerá, porque la palabra “democrático” cuando la utilizan ellos sólo esconde capitalismo, y los seres humanos necesitan otra forma de organizarse para sobrevivir como especie.
